We are very pleased to announce the date for the eighth ABC Annual Charity Golf Day in support of Advocate, the Pro Bono Charity of the Bar, which will take place at Bishop’s Stortford Golf Club on Friday 1st May.
This popular event brings together teams from across the Bar and legal profession for an enjoyable day of golf, networking and fundraising in support of a very worthy cause. This year we are particularly pleased to be welcoming a strong contingent of law firm teams, making the day an excellent opportunity for chambers to bring along members, staff and solicitor guests for both friendly competition and valuable networking.
Over the years the event has helped raise much-needed funds for Advocate, enabling the charity to continue its important work supporting access to justice by matching volunteer barristers with individuals who cannot afford legal representation.
As with many charities, recent years have presented real challenges to fundraising activities, and we are keen to ensure Advocate can continue the vital work it does. We hope chambers across the Bar will support the day and help us raise essential funds through what promises to be an enjoyable and sociable event.
