Nat Hawley is a neurodiversity consultant and the Founder of Divergent Thinking, specialising in neuroinclusive practice for chambers and legal teams. Working at the intersection of applied neuroscience and lived experience (autistic, dyslexic and dyspraxic), Nat helps chambers translate neurodiversity from “awareness” into practical, defensible ways of working that improve performance, wellbeing and retention.
Nat has delivered 300+ workshops and leadership sessions across sectors, and is currently supporting ABC with chambers-specific neuroinclusion learning content. His approach is pragmatic and time-pressured-role friendly: reducing friction in clerking processes, improving communication under deadlines, and designing adjustments that work within the realities of hearings, confidentiality and high workloads. Nat is also a TEDx speaker on neurodiversity and the future of work, known for clear frameworks and immediately usable takeaways.
• Neuro-inclusive chambers training (clerks, practice managers, leadership, pupillage committees)
• Workplace needs assessments + practical adjustment reports for barristers and staff
• Communication and work-design reviews to reduce avoidable friction under pressure
• Strategy + policy support (reasonable adjustments, disclosure, “workplace passport” approaches)
• Ongoing advisory support / office hours for complex cases and implementation
You’re in good hands!
