Sarah Willshee is a Director at ABC Partnership Ltd, where she plays a central role in recruitment , client advisory work and professional development across the Bar. She oversees ABC’s Training Partnership, ensuring chambers have access to high-quality, practical and commercially relevant training solutions.

With over eight years’ experience working within leading Commercial Chambers as an Administrator and Pupillage Co-ordinator, Sarah brings first-hand expertise in structured recruitment, assessment design and candidate management. Having overseen pupillage and junior recruitment processes, she has developed a sophisticated understanding of fair selection frameworks, objective shortlisting, structured interviews and transparent decision-making – principles that translate directly into best-practice recruitment for chambers.

Alongside her recruitment work, Sarah leads ABC’s Training Partnership initiative, collaborating closely with chambers to deliver cost-effective, tailored training programmes for barristers and clerking teams. She works in partnership with specialist trainers and authors to develop and implement online and in-person training, advising clients on content development, pricing structures, delivery models and long-term integration into chambers’ professional development strategies. Her ability to bridge recruitment, training and career progression enables chambers to take a joined-up and strategic approach to talent management.

Sarah’s combined experience across chambers recruitment, training and legal operations gives her a practical and informed understanding of how sets function day-to-day. She recognises the commercial and cultural pressures facing modern chambers and supports clients to attract, assess and develop talent in a way that is strategically sound, ethically robust and aligned with long-term growth.
