TITLE: Assistant Practice Manger
ROLE: To provide support to the clerks in the operation of the clerks room and to members of Chambers as required
REPORTING TO: Senior Clerk and/or Deputy Senior Clerk
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Dealing with letter correspondence, entering detailed description on to the computer records, dealing with queries or allocating requests.
To handle the booking in of instructions and briefs
Upkeep and checking of Barristers diaries and ensuring that Barristers are aware of their diary commitments
Assisting with billing and negotiating Junior members fees (with guidance).
Extensive phone work with instructing solicitors, courts with regards to fixing hearings and general queries on case
Responsible for supervising other Junior Clerks with the following responsibilities:
