Litigation Ready Adds AI Capabilities to ease the workload of barristers in chambers and lawyers in the UK

Legal Ready, in partnership with ABC Chambers solutions in the UK, launches a new suite of AI features, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and security in case preparation and document management.

Legal Ready, the litigation technology specialist, has added artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities to Litigation Ready. The new tools will be available in the UK in partnership with ABC Chambers Solutions and will further reduce the administrative requirements for barristers and clerks in chambers. It will help with the automating of bank statements, the analysis of documents and the creation of chronologies. The new AI functionality is currently being piloted across chambers and litigation practices in the UK.

The roll-out includes functionality aimed at reducing administrative burden and enabling clerks, barristers and lawyers to focus on higher-value strategic work. Among the newly released features are:

  • Bank Statement Handling – simplifies the importing of bank and credit card statements and their classification within the matter, including highlighting any missing statements.
  • Smart Classification – automatically renames documents, extracts key dates, and places them into the correct folders within the matter, delivering over 90% time savings on document organisation while ensuring users retain full oversight and control.
  • AI Analyse Assistant (Beta) – an interactive tool that allows practitioners to query documents, generate concise summaries, and verify references directly against the source materials.
  • Chronologies (Beta) – creates timeline summaries within the platform, with cross-references linking each entry back to its original source for rapid verification and audit.

Tony Kinnear, CEO of Litigation Ready states, “We are really excited to be launching the AI phase of Litigation Ready in the UK. We are using AI responsibly embedding AI in a way that delivers tangible value to practitioners while maintaining the trust and security the profession requires. No client data is being used to train the AI models and no third-party access is permitted.

“AI features like automated chronologies and direct document analysis act as a personal assistant for barristers – saving time, streamlining outcomes, and ensuring every response is tied to a verifiable source. This approach eliminates hallucinations and builds trust in the results. The beta programme also ensures that user feedback directly shapes the final product.  Working with ABC Chamber solutions we will be able to reach the majority of chambers in the UK who will benefit from our software.”

Each feature has been developed under Legal Ready’s Responsible Use of AI Policy, which enforces stringent technical and contractual safeguards around client confidentiality and legal privilege. This includes encryption in transit and at rest, region-aware data handling, and strict access controls.

Bill Conner, Managing Director at ABC Chambers Solutions, commented: “The ability to automate routine but resource-intensive tasks is of real significance to the Bar and the wider litigation sector. This is a groundbreaking use of technology in the legal market and will free up the time for barristers and clerks to focus on analysis, advocacy, and client service, providing more strategic guidance.

“Chambers’ Clients will get more expertise for their money and the legal profession gets to do more of the job they trained for. We are always looking at ways to improve our clients’ daily workload and this is a clear step forward in legal practice support.”

The AI features are currently available in beta for evaluation, with commercial release to follow. Legal Ready is encouraging practitioners to trial the tools within their existing workflows and provide feedback via its in-platform channel.
