ABC Chambers Solutions specialise in working with the Bar.
Our experienced Bar recruitment team understand the importance of attracting members who can not only add value to Chambers, but bring additional worth to their new set internally such as their internal contribution to Chambers’ teams, bringing additional expertise and contact with new workstreams as well as strengthening Chambers’ offering in a particular area.
During our lateral recruitment team’s careers working in sets of Chambers, we have gained a reputation for discretion, trust and honesty. These principles are at the forefront of how we conduct our business at ABC As former Bar Clerks we bring a deep understanding and an unrivalled level of experience and expertise that enables us to fulfil the requirements of lateral recruitment projects to the complete satisfaction of our clients.
As each lateral recruitment exercise is different there is no standard template of how we would deal with each one.
We do not solely rely on advertising in the usual legal publications, which we are not alone in believing to be much less effective these days than ever. Aside from this, because we know the market so well, we are also able to identify prospective applicants who might miss any advertising campaign. We are also very active on LinkedIn, which brings us into contact with thousands of Members of the Bar.
We have built an extensive network of contacts in the industry, including not only Members of the Bar, but the Judiciary, Law Firm Partners and key contacts, as well as numerous key personnel within the Inns and in Chambers the length and breadth of the country and our reach extends to the international market.
ABC is regularly contacted by barristers who are happy where they are, but aware they need to move to benefit their practice in a particular area or geographical region.
We are also often a point of referral by individuals/Chambers and law firms working within our industry, knowing that we are a safe pair of hands for their professional or personal contact who is looking to relocate.
The process is always designed to fit the individual needs of the Chambers’ client but, whatever the process, all parties know they can depend on our absolute confidentiality.
Although we invariably work under an NDA and do not begin the process until all parties have been signed, there are good reasons why we in any event maintain the confidentiality so strictly. Ther are a number of advantages for each side which can include the reassurance to a potential applicant from a rival set that his identity will be revealed until he can assess the realistic chance of an application being successful. This is a good example of where our role as an “information barrier” or “buffer” can be so useful to both sides.
For a non-committal and confidential discussion or to discuss our usual terms, please contact Bill Conner on bill@abcllp.com or any of the team on enquiries@abcllp.com.
