Training Module
Barristers and Chambers support staff regularly handle sensitive personal data, including confidential client information, case details, and legal documents, so a sound knowledge of their responsibilities under the GDPR is crucial. This is where training, and especially industry-relevant training, is vital for everyone in Chambers.
The recently published BSB Regulatory Expectations of Chambers states “We expect chambers to ensure barristers are familiar with their obligations (under the UK GDPR)”
It is Chambers responsibility to help provide this essential training for its members, pupils and staff. This is where ABC’s online training and its popular Training Partnership initiative can play an important role in making it easier for busy barristers to engage with our “always available” and flexible training solutions, as well as providing and storing proof of training and training records.
GDPR training is not just a legal requirement but a critical aspect of ethical legal practice. Through regular training and gained knowledge, barristers and Chambers can protect their clients, their reputation, and themselves from legal and financial risks.
