Welcome to the August edition of the monthly newsletter from ABC Chambers Solutions
These newsletters are intended to keep you in the know with news and events from ABC, as well as recent moves in Chambers and to provide you with an outlet with topics we feel are of interest. They are not always purely work related, but are all meant to be useful to anyone working in a set of Chambers. If you have any information that you want to pass on, let us know and we will circulate it.
We are pleased to announce that PME have partnered with London Legal Networking for their next event, a training session presented by the excellent Don Turner and titled "Professional Networking Made Easy." It will take place at Hardwicke Chambers on the 15th September from 6.30pm.
This will be a great chance to gain valuable practical knowledge of effective networking with legal professionals across the sector. Whether senior or junior you will find this session very useful and there will be good mix of people on the night.
If you are not yet a member of LLNG you can join here. Places are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment. The session is £10 per person (including refreshments and nibbles) and you can book your place by clicking on the RSVP icon on the LLNG page.

Throwback Thursday
You may have seen on our social media that we have been participating in throwback Thursday! Here are some old favourites of our very own Bill, Charles and Alan, but can you tell who is who? If you've got any old photos from when you started your career it would be fun see them, please get in touch!
Three peaks challenge
Many of you will know Rowan Caffull and Ashley London from 36 Bedford Row. They both volunteer to run a large Youth Club in Romford every Friday night that welcomes up to 60 young people from varying backgrounds and have differing abilities with over 150 on the books.
Very soon they will be undertaking the 'Three Peaks Challenge'. in an attempt to raise funds to the sum of £8000 urgently as the accessibility of the youth club needs to be updated. One of the young people has very sadly recently been diagnosed with a rare form of Friedreich’s Ataxia and will very shortly be confined to a wheelchair, eventually losing control of all of his physical abilities. A large part of the facilities are inaccessible to wheelchair users and also very difficult to negotiate for some of our other young people and need to change this ASAP.
We wish Rowan and Ashley the best of luck with the challenge and hope they reach their target.
