Management Consultancy

We are instructed by sets of Chambers on a consultative basis (charged on a fixed fee basis or at an agreed hourly/daily rate). Projects have ranged from structural reviews; an overview of staff/Chambers management and provision for the future, through to discussions as to potential mergers and we have also assisted sets in relation to salary reviews.

Consultancy projects also include working closely with sets to increase or promote Chambers’ and Members’ profiles as well as adhoc marketing initiatives. In all of these exercises we offer a vastly experienced, but modern approach, to the task. We are also able to enlist specialist individual expertise through our network of trusted consultants. We are well practised at working closely with Chambers whilst ensuring that our activities are as unobtrusive and non-disruptive as possible. We believe we can offer a much more proficient and cost-effective service than consultants from outside our industry with.

The unique environment and of a set of Chambers, sets it apart from all other forms of business. ABC has the expertise combined with intimate knowledge of the Chambers’ world and the legal market place to help Chambers prepare itself for the challenges ahead. We believe we have unrivalled experience of setting Chambers strategies and development plans, devising and introducing management structures and building Chambers. Unlike many consultants working in our industry, we have direct experience of having to stand or fall as a result of the structures we have helped to introduce—and live with the results.

“It is hard to imagine a more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong.”

Thomas Sowell

Project Management

We work closely with individuals and companies who possess the appropriate expertise to assist Chambers on a wide range of Project Management briefs.

We are able to place, for a short -term or longer-term projects, suitably experienced and talented individuals, many of whom have previously held senior posts within Chambers. They are able to provide you with advice on policies and compliance; an overview of Chambers’ operations such as fee collection, an expenditure review, advice on your IT, website, social media and cyber security needs, or an evaluation or training requirements.
